How to Reset Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
There are three types of resets for your Galaxy Watch 6 Classic: soft reset (restart), hard reset (force restart), and factory reset (erase everything). Choose based on your issue.
Reset Types

Soft Reset (Restart)
Use when the watch is running slowly, apps aren't responding, or for routine maintenance.
Method 1: Press and hold the Home button tap Restart
Method 2: Settings General Restart
Takes 30-60 seconds to complete.
Hard Reset (Force Restart)
Use when the watch is completely frozen or the screen is unresponsive.
Press and hold Home button + Back button together for 7-10 seconds. Release when the Samsung logo appears.
No data is lost. If the watch is still frozen, let the battery drain completely, then place it on the charger.
Factory Reset
Use when selling the watch, troubleshooting persistent issues, or switching to a new phone.
Backup First: Open Galaxy Wearable app Watch settings Account and backup Back up data
Reset via Watch: Settings General Reset Factory data reset
Reset via Phone: Galaxy Wearable Watch settings General Reset
Reset via Recovery Mode (if you can't access settings):
- Power off watch completely
- Hold Home + Back buttons
- Release Home when Samsung logo appears, keep holding Back
- Use bezel to navigate to
Factory reset - Press Home to confirm
Set Up As New When Troubleshooting
If you're factory resetting to fix a problem, don't restore your backup immediately. Set up as new and test the watch first. If the problem is gone, add apps one at a time to identify the culprit.
Reset Network Settings
For Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or LTE connection problems without erasing everything:

This clears saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth pairings but preserves apps and data.
