Making Phone Calls on Pixel Watch 3

The Pixel Watch 3 supports phone calls through both Bluetooth connection to your phone and standalone LTE cellular (LTE models only).

Making Calls

Via Voice: Hey Google, call [contact name]

Via Phone App: Press crown Open Phone app Select contact or dial number

Via Notification: Tap incoming call notification to answer


Answering Calls

  • Swipe Right: Answer call
  • Swipe Left: Decline call
  • Tap Buttons: Use on-screen controls

Call Quality Tips

  • Speaker Position: Hold watch close to mouth
  • Quiet Environment: Background noise reduces quality
  • Strong Signal: Ensure good Bluetooth or cellular coverage
  • Band Microphone: Some bands may block microphone

LTE Calling

LTE models can make calls without phone nearby:

  • Uses your phone number
  • Requires carrier activation ($5-15/month)
  • Uses watch speaker and microphone
  • Works anywhere with cellular coverage

Bluetooth Calling

WiFi models use phone's connection:

  • Phone must be nearby (within ~30 feet)
  • Audio routes through watch speaker
  • Better battery life than LTE
  • Uses phone's plan (no extra cost)

Call Screening (Pixel Phones Only)

When paired with Pixel phones, you can screen calls from your wrist:

  • AI transcribes caller's response in real-time
  • Decide whether to answer based on transcription
  • Exclusive to Pixel phone users
