Gemini Compatibility Guide for WearOS

Ensure your watch meets the requirements for running Gemini before attempting installation or setup.

Minimum System Requirements

WearOS Version - Requires WearOS 3.0 or higher. Older watches running WearOS 2.x are not supported.

Hardware Requirements - At least 1GB RAM and adequate processing power for AI workloads. Most watches from 2021 onwards meet these requirements.

Storage Space - Minimum 500MB available storage for the Gemini app and associated data.

Internet Connectivity - Requires either Wi-Fi or cellular connection for full functionality. Bluetooth-only connections may limit features.

Supported Watch Models

Samsung Galaxy Watch - Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, Watch 6, and newer models with WearOS 3+.

Google Pixel Watch - All Pixel Watch models (original, 2, and newer) have full Gemini support.

Fossil Gen 6 - Most Fossil Gen 6 watches support Gemini with WearOS 3 updates.

TicWatch Pro - TicWatch Pro 3, Pro 5, and newer models are compatible.

Other Brands - Check with manufacturer for WearOS 3+ updates and Gemini availability.

Checking Your Watch Compatibility

Software Version - Go to Settings > System > About on your watch to check WearOS version.

Google App Version - Ensure you have the latest Google app (version 15.0 or higher) on your paired phone.

Regional Availability - Gemini may not be available in all regions. Check Google's official availability list.

Hardware Test - Try installing the Google app updates to see if Gemini appears as an option.

Common Compatibility Issues

Older Hardware - Watches with less than 1GB RAM may experience performance issues or crashes.

Custom ROMs - Modified firmware may prevent Gemini from working properly or receiving updates.

Enterprise Restrictions - Corporate-managed devices may have Gemini disabled by IT policies.

Carrier Limitations - Some cellular carriers may not support all Gemini features on their networks.

Upgrade Recommendations
