How to Use Music and Media Features on WearOS
Here’s how to use the music and media features on your WearOS watch.
Streaming Services
- Spotify: You'll need a Premium account to download playlists and albums for offline listening.
- YouTube Music: This service is offline-only on WearOS, so you'll need to download your music while your watch is charging and connected to Wi-Fi.
Offline Music Storage
- Download Requirements: You'll need a Wi-Fi connection, a charger (for YouTube Music), and sufficient storage space.
- Storage Management: You can monitor your available space in your watch's settings and remove unused downloads to free up space.
Bluetooth Headphone Setup
- Go to Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth on your watch.
- Put your headphones in pairing mode.
- Choose your headphones from the "Available devices" list.
- Wait for a successful pairing notification.
How to Troubleshoot Common Issues
- Spotify Problems: If your downloaded content won't play offline, try re-downloading your playlists. If you're experiencing high battery drain, limit background activity and use airplane mode with Bluetooth.
- Bluetooth Audio Issues: If your connection drops, check your proximity to your watch and restart Bluetooth on both devices. If you're experiencing audio lag, try updating your headphone firmware.
